Electronic Signature Consent

By using this website, you agree to the use of electronic records and electronic signatures. This applies to SinoLedger's paid digital editorial subscription (recording-ready China economic scripts, source ledgers, data desks, charts, editorial images, show notes, and related visual assets), including checkout, subscription management, and service communications. Where relevant, we align this process with Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 (eIDAS) on electronic identification and trust services and with the U.S. Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN). Mandatory consumer protections in your country still apply.

1. Definition of electronic signature

An electronic signature includes deliberate actions such as clicking clearly labelled buttons (for example “I agree” or “Complete purchase”), checking consent boxes, or submitting forms online when those actions are recorded in connection with a transaction or legal notice.

2. Consent to electronic communication

You agree to receive all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications relating to your purchase or subscription in electronic form, including by email and through this website, unless applicable law requires a different channel.

3. Legal effect

Your electronic actions constitute a legally binding agreement and have the same effect as a handwritten signature, to the extent permitted by the law governing your contract with us. Nothing in this notice limits mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. Where eIDAS or E-SIGN applies, we intend this process to support the validity of electronic records and signatures in line with those frameworks.

4. Withdrawal of consent

You may withdraw your consent to receiving communications or using electronic signatures for future transactions by contacting us at the address below. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. Certain records may still be retained where required by law.

5. Technical requirements

You must have access to a device and a reasonably current web browser, a valid email account you control, and an internet connection sufficient to access digital content, complete checkout, and receive communications. You should retain copies of confirmations and receipts we send you electronically.
